Description

The proposed innovative product includes a dry polysaccharide extract of Tremella fuciformis (solvent – purified water). It has been found that the polysaccharides of this mushroom significantly enhance the absorption of a water-soluble plant extract combined with them and provide a more pronounced positive effect on the body.

– St. John’s wort is indicated for the relief of mild to moderate symptoms of depression and has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to the most commonly prescribed SSRIs (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors) and TCAs (tricyclic antidepressants). It inhibits the reuptake of serotonin, dopamine, and norepinephrine in the brain, increasing their concentration in the synaptic cleft, effectively reducing symptoms of depression and improving mood and motivation. In Germany, St. John’s wort is patented as a remedy for anxiety, depression, and sleep disorders. Its anxiolytic effect is due to its significant affinity for adenosine, GABA, and glutamate receptors, inhibition of β-adrenergic receptor activity, and enhancement of serotonin 5-HT2 receptor activity. As a result, it has a beneficial effect on anxiety disorders, including OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder) and generalized anxiety disorder.

– St. John’s wort has been used in traditional medicine for over 2,000 years in the form of decoctions and tinctures as a general anti-inflammatory, analgesic, diuretic, wound-healing agent, and for the treatment of menstrual irregularities. Its primary antibacterial component, hyperforin, inhibits the growth of many conditionally pathogenic gram-positive bacteria, including Staphylococcus aureus. Hypericin, another active compound in St. John’s wort, is effective against influenza viruses, herpes viruses, and many other types of viruses, inactivating them by reducing their ability to bind to cell membranes.
