Chaga is one of the most beneficial medicinal mushrooms found in our forests. According to modern research, it has powerful anticancer, antioxidant, antiviral, immunomodulatory, and general adaptogenic properties. It also supports brain function and the digestive system. Additionally, it is used for therapeutic and cosmetic purposes.
Traditional use: Brew the chaga chunks in boiling water for 20–30 minutes at a ratio of 1 tablespoon of chaga per 1 liter of water. Drink as a mushroom tea. The simmering time is counted from the moment of boiling. Long infusions in a thermos (from 30 minutes up to 5–6 hours) or extended decoction on the stove or in a water bath (2–12 hours) are also acceptable. Boiling the chaga for many hours does not reduce its medicinal properties.
The prepared drink can be stored in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. If needed, the infusion or decoction may be frozen.
